Since I ride with a bareback pad and tend to ride
for a long period of time, I need to use a pad on long rides that

it ends up hurting the spine after a long period of time, but the
Equipedic has the perfect compression and temperature control. Of
all the ones I have tried, the Equipedic pad is by far the best
for protecting my horse’s back..

Perhaps hoping to appeal to the president horseman
to horseman, Lawrence "Doc" Mishler is riding from Montana to
Crawford, Texas, on behalf of starving children and world peace.
After riding 1,500 miles on 2 one inch pads, Doc switched to an
EquiPedic saddle pad. Three days later, Doc called us and said,
"This pad is the ultimate. For the first time in 1,500 miles my
horse's back is rising up into the saddle. I'm only sorry I didn't
get one for my pack horse."
We hope to report more on Doc's travels to
Crawford, Texas, so check back frequently to see what he's up to
and who he's met along the way.
If you want to talk to Doc directly, email him at:

Lawrence "Doc" Mishler was inspired to rideng from
Choteau, Montana to Crawford, Texas, on behalf of starving
children and world peace. After being diagnosed with cancer, Doc
heard Bread for the Journey founder Wayne Muller speak at a
Michigan college and read his book, How Then Shall We Live?
Doc gave up most of his possesions, saddled his horse, Chief
Spirit, loaded up his pack mare, and began a spiritual and
physical journey of thousands of miles with his dog Czar Bear.
We hope to report more on Doc's travels in support
of Bread for the Journey, so check back frequently to see what he's up to
and who he's met along the way.
